Understanding the Selection Process
Unlike a typical Sarkari Result based on an exam, these admissions follow a Point-Based Merit System. Points are assigned based on transparent criteria:
-
Neighborhood (Proximity): Highest weightage (often 40-70 points) for residing near the school.
-
Sibling: Points if a real brother/sister is already enrolled in the school.
-
Alumni: Points if one or both parents are former students of the school.
-
Special Categories: points for girl child, first-born, or staff wards (varies by school).
Important: Schools are strictly prohibited from conducting interviews or interactions with the child or parents. Selection is purely data-driven.
How to Proceed: Admission Checklist
If your child’s name is on the list, you must act fast. Follow these steps to secure the seat:
1. Check the List
Visit the official website of the specific school or check their physical notice board. You can also find consolidated links on the DoE Delhi admission portal.
2. Resolution of Queries
If you have concerns regarding the points allotted to your ward, you can submit objections/queries to the school from January 24 to February 3, 2026.
3. Document Verification
Gather original copies and two sets of self-attested photocopies of the following:
-
Child’s Birth Certificate (issued by Municipal Corporation).
-
Address Proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, or Electricity/Water bill).
-
Passport-sized Photographs (Child and Parents).
-
Sibling/Alumni Proof (if applicable).
4. Fee Submission
